Zesty Kitchen Tea Favour Tags

June and July are the gloomiest, coldest months in South Africa, so here’s a bright homemade idea to zest up a winter bridal shower! I love seasonal citrus and this is a really great favour idea that is cheap and easy to make, perfect for a winter celebration. A citrus theme can also do for fabulous décor and food, combined with sharp geometric shapes and gorgeous winter flowers like yellow, pink and white tulips.

I used the yellow from lemons and the pink from grapefruits as the colour palette to create these favour tags. It’s as simple as putting a lemon, some tea bags and sugar cubes in a mason jar and wrapping a tag around it. And Voila! You have a cute tea favour to (very appropriately) give away at a kitchen tea.

You can combine the tags with dipped jars, tulips, cut citrus and ceramics with geometric details. A pink lemonade or lemon meringue pie fits the theme perfectly, while dipped meringues and marshmallows with white hot chocolate will warm those chilly fingers. These tags are part of a really beautiful set that includes a matching invitation and menu, so simply email me if you’d like the entire look!
